How to use the generator
What are other people asking?
Our generator tool gives you a question structure and lots of prompts and joining words to play around with.
-
Start putting some of your key words or themes in the boxes and see what you come up with.
-
Generate as many questions as you can — at least 5, and send them to yourself.
-
Then look at your question cards together.
-
Try and put them into priority order. Which are you drawn to and why? Which one triggers the most excitement? Which one feels most urgent? Show them to someone else and discuss them.
-
Repeat this process until you’ve got something you’re happy with.

What's a
learning question?
All Learning Marathon participants identify a professional, personal or societal challenge that they want to tackle as a project. Each project is titled with a Learning Question. Your question is a thesis question without the enormous essay. It's an itch you simply have to scratch.
