Overview

An interdisciplinary learning community. Over 3 months we all explore the same question:

'Who must we become?'

We will pool our skills and experience as we collaborate to power our individual learning.

Little sister to the Learning Marathon, the Learning Relay is a response to our rapidly changing world. Over the 3 months together we'll become an interdisciplinary learning community, building relationships and resilience to help us meet uncertainty.

Is it for me?

Peer-to-peer learning for a changing world. An online learning journey where we pool our resources to collaborate and create.

The Learning relay is for you if you're:

  • Curious to find collaborative ways of learning to meet the challenges of our time.

  • At a crossroads and need support in figuring out where to go next and want to stay accountable to your learning.

  • Looking for community, connection and recognise the value of working toward a more cooperative society.

  • You want to challenge traditional learning formats - and yourself - by joining a peer group.

  • You are an adult human ready to commit an average of 3 - 5 hours per week over three months.

Do it to

1.  Build relationships and resilience to help you face the uncertainty of our changing world.

2. An interdisciplinary learning community that offers the accountability and collaboration you miss on your own.

3. Develop your lifelong learning practice and the skills required to lead your own learning.

Q&As

What does the programme look like?

Over 12 weeks we meet every Tuesday evening as a learning community, and the journey is punctuated by 'Power Up' sessions where we report back on our learning. Each person takes it in turn to collaborate and lead a workshop that helps us explore our collective learning question. We use our skills, experience and resources to support each other in our collective learning.

What does the application process look like?

The application process is simple. You can download more information at the bottom of this page, and feel free to reach out to Alana for an informal chat. If this feels like something that calls you then you can sign up via the application form. After the deadline Alana will find a time to speak with you, before offering a limited number of places.

What's does it cost?

Cost ranges from £420 - £780 dependent on your current circumstances and finances. There are also a small amount of bursaries and concessionary spaces available. If you are able, we encourage you to contribute to our higher tier. This makes it possible to offer these lower cost places to those with less income: and makes it possible for you to learn as part of a more diverse group. We are aware that this is a financially precarious moment for many, so please reach out if you're stuck for funds and we’ll explore what is possible. Further information about costs can be found in the information pack.

How do you approach diversity and inclusion?

We believe that placing peer-to-peer relationships at the heart of a learning model has huge potential for a more inclusive approach to education. We also know that a very deliberate effort is required to deliver those benefits in reality. A top cited value point for Enrol Yourself participants is that they learnt alongside people they wouldn't otherwise have met and were able to exchange their perspectives, ideas, experiences and more.

We want to welcome and support anyone with a strong intention to take part in our programmes, and aim to ensure that your identity or background will not be a barrier. Whilst we don't have it all figured out yet, we are working on it.
